Why you’ll love this…
  • You'll enjoy a scenic cruise past Ireon village, secluded beaches and rocky coves along Samos's south coast.
  • There's fresh fruit and beverages served on board, keeping you refreshed throughout the journey
  • You'll have some free time on Samiopoula, a quiet, uninhabited island, to explore its pristine beaches
What to expect

Holidays are about getting away from it all. And this morning cruise does just that. Cooling off in the waters of Samos's south coast, you'll also visit the remote island of Samiopoula – an isolated island with no inhabitants.

Sailing out of Pythagorios' pretty port, you'll know you're on holiday when you feel the sun on your face and a warm sea breeze wash over you. Gliding through the Ireon village, you'll pass secluded beaches and rocky coves. Whilst being served fresh fruit and refreshments by the crew, you may even be lucky enough to spot a dolphin or two.

Then, you'll relax and top up your tan until it's time to swim ashore at Samipoula. Spend time here exploring the island's unspoiled landscape, its lone church, or enjoying a dip in the Aegean. The water here is calm and clear, so expect to see plenty of fish. And cruising back to shore at a leisurely pace, you'll have time to catch a few more rays on deck.

There was no safety information when on the boat, one piece of fruit and a cup of juice or water on route, which was fine. The only information given on arrival at the island was do not stand on the side of the boat as it was very fragile and looking at it , it had been patched up. The realised engine was broken, we were not given any information WHAT SO EVER ,when a fishing boat turned up to tow us back, which was very frightening ,which to 3 hrs 30 mins to return, only one drink was offered

The sandy beach you are taken to is on an uninhabited island with beautiful turquoise sea, you are dropped off in deep water and need to swim ashore for about 30 metres so can’t taken anything with you. The boat trip was very enjoyable and the highlight was seeing dolphins swimming alongside the boat on the way back.

The remote island we went to was stunning of course, the beach although very small was very beautiful. Boat anchored so we could jump off and swim in the clear water, and swim to the beach… there were sunbeds but they were all chained up so couldn’t be used. In total boat time travelling was 3 hours vs 1 hour 10 mins on the private beach. Wouldn’t do it again based on this alone. Everything else lovely, very kindly provided snacks too.

It is a scenic boat ride, the staff are fantastic and give a glass of orange juice, a long roll with cheese and tomato, some melon, all very enjoyable, there were no dolphins however, and the stay at the island is an hour, which was enough for me as I couldn't tolerate the ice cold water to swim to shore and back, I enjoyed it and would recommend but not to see dolphin's or the swim as it was like an ice bath. ??
