What to expect

Discover 23 life-size whale models at the Whales of Iceland Exhibition. All models are hand-painted, can be touched and explored to let you experience how big these wonderful animals are. Enjoy the educational and interactive museum following an audio guide available in 12 languages. Listen to underwater sounds, observe underwater lightning and feel the beach-like floors. A unique introduction to the world of whales for all ages.

New to the museum is the Fin Whale Room. Here you are informed about the current threats that marine mammals face and you can learn about solutions to protect these amazing animals. Take a break by watching the Sonic Sea film which plays daily at 11.00am and 3.00pm in the room Fin Whale Room the remaining time the room shows wonderful underwater footage of whales.

If you want more information about the world of whales you can follow the free guided tour which is held twice a day.
