Next, step back in time at ancient Asclepeion, which remains one of Greece's most important archaeological sites. Here, you'll have free time to explore and imagine Hippocrates, who was born on the island of Kos, undergoing his medical education at the Asclepeion. Among the attractions are the remains of the world's first hospital, where doctors learned about medicine from Hippocrates, and studied how to treat disease. You'll also visit the mountain village of Zia, which sprawls beneath Mount Dikaios and is best known for traditional architecture and wonderful views of the coast. After lunch in a typical restaurant, it's on to taste local wine at a wine factory, and honey in a honey factory. Then, at the end of the excursion, you have the chance to capture amazing photos at Kefalos village at the south part of the island.

Zia by Night

Leave the beach behind and head for the hills to the mountain village of Zia for the evening. Sitting high in pine-forested Mount Dikaios, it's bagged itself gorgeous views of the island's North coast and across the Aegean to Turkey. And from up here, the sunsets are nothing short of spectacular.

Spend time in the picturesque harbour town of Vathi, grab lunch in a traditional taverna and then cast off for an afternoon at the Blue Lagoon, with bright, turquoise waters ideal for swimming in.Picked up from your hotel and taken to Kos port, you'll board the boat ready for a day at sea. Sail towards Kalymnos island where you'll stop off in the quaint harbour and village of Vathi. Take some time to stroll the seafront, before setting off to Pserimos island. Along the way, you'll have the chance to admire the picture-postcard views of Plati's coast. And once in Pserimos, you'll head to a local taverna for lunch.Then, it's time for the main attraction – the Blue Lagoon of Pserimos.
