You'll learn how more than 1.5 million people were sent to the camps by the Nazi regime and put to death during World War II. Founded in 1947, the memorial was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 for the important story it relates.

  • The time provided in the booking and your voucher (9:30AM) is the most common time provided by the museum and does not depend on the local operator. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by customer service or the driver on the day before the tour.
  • Due to the extremely high visitors’ volume and internal policies, Auschwitz-Birkenau reserves the right to cancel tours or guides at any time, even a few days or hours before the visit. If this happens, you will be informed and if possible, offered an alternative date or program
  • All visitors are required to pass through security checks before entering the museum grounds
