What to expect

This is a short walk accessible to all, perfect to start your vacations and getting to know the island and its levadas, man-made canals used to bring water from the North to the South of Madeira.

You will walk along Levada Vale Paraíso, that will take you to discover a rural area full of traditions. You will also pass through the centennial Serra do Faial, a hidden forest, Vale Paraíso and Rochão.

While walking, you will be able to enjoy the gardens, the cultivated lands and the beautiful panoramic views over the village of Camacha.
