Bali: Full-Day Spiritual Cleansing and Shamanic Healing Tour

3. Bali: Full-Day Spiritual Cleansing and Shamanic Healing Tour

Take part in a combination program of spiritual healing and spiritual cleansing at Tirta Empul temple. This 8-hour spiritual journey begins at your hotel in the morning, where you will be picked up and transferred to the temple to meet one of the best Balinese Shamans from Puri Negari. Healing by Balinese Shaman combines Yagna, Yatra, and Mantra healing practices. Yagna healing is performed to remove negative factors in your life, and to help you find peace and happiness. Mantra healing, performed by reciting mantras, clears lower vibrations from your system and elevates your energy. A mantra is a precise combination of sacred sounds forming a nucleus of spiritual energy that attracts high spiritual vibrations, leading to spiritual awakening and empowerment. Yatra healing is designed to remove afflictions that might be preventing you from obtaining a particular result. This can involve removing blockages in your career and bad intentions of your enemies, protecting you from negative forces, and aura healing and chakra balancing. This overall process is known as melukat by the locals and is carried out to spiritually purify the mind and soul. It can be done at any place considered holy by the Balinese, although the Tirta Empul (or Holy Spring Temple) is considered the most holy site for this cleansing.

The locals in this village live a very traditional life that is vastly different from the rest of Bali. The Trunyanese do not cremate their dead. After a cleansing ritual, the dead body is placed in a bamboo cage, locally known as ancak saji, which is placed under the Taru Menyan tree. Taru Menyan means nice smelling tree and it emanates a scent that neutralizes the smell of rotting bodies. It is from this tree that the name Trunyan is derived. It is only the bodies of married people that are placed in bamboo cages.  Continue your tour and visit another ancient village called Bayung Gede, which is believed to be the parent of all of the ancient villages in Bali. Many people come here to see the hanging newborn placentas that are unique to Bayung Gede. In Trunyan, bodies of the dead are laid on the ground unburied but here it is the placenta that is unburied. This is the only village in Indonesia that does this. Your journey will not be completed without a visit to Kehen Temple, which is a significant Hindu Temple in Bali. It is located on the slope of Bukit Bangli, which is believed to be the mother temple of Bangli. Admire the beauty of its stunning steps to heaven and its unique wooden bell hanging on its very old and secret banyan tree.

Choosing the Eat, Pray, Love tour was the best decision for my trip to Bali. What I wanted was a personalized and in depth trip that would allow me to understand the culture and be able to understand and especially experience the spiritual dimension of this wonderful place. My guide was very helpful, talkative, told me all about the traditions and customs, it was a great pleasure to have him accompanying me. I started the day with Yoga, followed by trying the local coffee and visiting the beautiful rice terraces. This tour has a bit of everything, but the best part is that you get to experience everything on your own skin, especially the spiritual ritual. There are many beautiful places for photos if that interests you. What I would recommend is bringing 2 sets of clothes, as you need one after the yoga class and another one after performing the cleansing ritual that gets you completely wet. It was the highlight of my stay in Bali, would recommend it to anyone!

I really loved the tour, it had a bit of everything. A bit of adventure, a bit of relaxation, and definitely a ton of mesmerizing landscapes and places for photos. What I would recommend is bringing a set of sporty clothes that you don’t mind getting wet, for the canyon part, and also some swimming shoes (flip flops would just get in the way). I went barefoot which is a possible choice, but I had a hard time since I kept stepping on sharp surfaces. There are many wonderful local shops near the waterfall, if you would like to buy some souvenirs or traditional clothing. A wonderful experience that I would kindly recommend

Had a very good tour of the Basakih , Lempuyang and Thrita Ganga . My guide Mr Sabdi putu was super helpful and good company! ( solo travel) I wanted to pray at Lempuyang temple and he got the offerings for me and we both went and prayed inside , it was a very soothing experience. The lunch was arranged on the way to Basikh and the view from the restaurant is simply stunning , like a perfect picture with Mt Agung in the background. Overall definitely a good tour for people who want to check out the temples. Thanks to Sandi too for making it a very comfortable and memorable experience.

We had an amazing day with our really friendly and helpful guide. He teached us a lot and this day was really one of the best during our stay in Bali. Totally recommend it! :)
