Take a journey through time as the displays show items in chronological order, from the 4th-century BC to the 3rd-century AD. Together with your guide, discover the mysterious and magical side of the Egyptian Empire on this gripping tour.
See the spectacular Tomb of Kha, a tomb builder to the pharaohs, which dates back to 3,500 BC. Admire the sarcophagi, statues, sundries, and furniture, as well as astonishingly well-preserved items such as salted meat and a pottery bowl with the remains of tamarind and grapes.
Next, head to the Drovetti Collection of papyrus sheets, which is considered by some as the most important in the world. Finally, visit the Ellesija Temple, a rock-hewn temple which is more than 3,500-years-old. Learn about how the temple was built for Pharaoh Tuthmosis III and was saved from Nile flooding before it was moved to Italy in 1966.
