From Tropea: Stromboli, Panarea, Lipari Guided Day Tour

3. From Tropea: Stromboli, Panarea, Lipari Guided Day Tour

The Aeolian Islands are natural wonders to be discovered and the best way to do it is undoubtedly by boat. Take part in a mini-cruise to the Aeolian Islands to get an overview of these splendid islands, each one different from the others, and in just one day, you will be able to grasp the peculiarities of each island. Wind and sun have forged the character and identity of the islanders. A sea still full of fish and clean, caves and very high cliffs, stacks, and beaches with fine black sand, solfataras and mountains of white pumice, and all the charm of the island's environments. Despite the vicissitudes of history and the changes imposed by the modern world, this identity has survived with its customs and traditions. The archipelago of the Aeolian Islands, north of the Sicilian coast, in the province of Messina, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. Seven islands of volcanic origin some of which there is still a fair amount of volcanic activity. The largest island is Lipari, followed by Salina. The smallest, Panarea, is also the most exclusive island, preferred by VIPs. Stromboli, thanks to the intense volcanic activity of "Iddu" has seen a strong increase in tourism in recent years. Vulcano remains a very popular island both for the spa and for the tourist attractions. Finally, Filicudi and Alicudi, west of the archipelago and close to Palermo, are the islands for lovers of nature and tranquility. Alicudi does not circulate vehicles and is characterized by a wild and uncontaminated territory, ideal for a perfect Sicilian mix of beach holidays and trekking.

What people are saying about Tropea

It was excelent!! We booked the experience 15 mins before the departing time so we were nervous there would be a problem with that but there was none at all on the other hand, even though you know it’ll be fun from the moment you read the description of the activity, it ends up being even better. Captain Paolo and his team were super friendly and fun, the food was really good and not scarce at all (and neither were the alcoholic drinks haha), and the energy altogether was spectacular. And of course, the views of the city/mountains + the fish while you snorkel… we felt like we were in a movie on several occasions!! Very italian and dreamy experience. Thank you! Hopefully we can do it again some time.

Great Tour From a Tuscany tour guide I can say that it was a great boat tour. Three hours sailing through crystal clear waters with stops in the most beautiful bays. Possibility to swim surrounded by hundreds of fish, also on the boat you can find masks that you can use. The aperitif was abundant and rich with local products and drinks of all kinds. Captain Paolo very nice and the guide also gave interesting information.

one of the best boat trips we have had. 3 times we stopped for swimming and snorkling off the boat, which was great as the water was very warm. they laid on drinks and a small buffet and disco music. a great crowd of people and the crew were very good, although the communications were not in english.

A fantastic boat trip with a friendly and enthusiastic crew, pleasant music, sailing along the most beautiful spots and a nice dive in the warm, clear water three times.

Excellent tour. Highly recommended. Very helpful and informative guides and lovely food.
