Full description
Venture far into the wilderness and experience the mountains of the far north on a snowmobile safari. Keep an eye out for the northern lights as you explore a snow-covered valley and marvel at the majestic scenery. Meet at the Magic Ice Bar in Tromsø and hop on a bus to the wilderness center of the Tromsø Ice Domes. Upon arrival, get kitted out in all the warm clothes and necessary, and receive a thorough safety introduction and practical demonstration. You don't need any previous skills to drive a snowmobile, all you need is to be in reasonable physical shape. Once you're ready, set out on your adventure. Drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. Pass scenic mountains and make your way through the dramatic snow-covered Finn valley. You will be on the snowmobiling track for approximately 2 hours, depending on the weather and snow conditions. During the tour, make a few stops to enjoy the breathtaking nature around you and, if you're lucky, gaze upon the northern lights. Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during parts of the tour.

It was super cool and unforgettable. I rode the entire time and my partner sat in the back. However, a change is often possible. Driving was really great fun, but also required a little bit of strength in the breath to keep the mobile on course. But everything is absolutely possible. First we considered whether it really is the case as described in some comments. "Chug in a convoy at max. 11 km/h." It was absolutely not like that. I think you need to check your expectations. It's not going to be a crazy solo adventure tour where you race up a mountain alone or something. Of course it's a convoy because you drive at night and you really don't see anything and you wouldn't have any orientation if it were otherwise. But the distance is so big that you can sometimes race. Of course, the speed adapts to the group. When everyone feels safe (which was the case with us) we sometimes reached 60 km/h. All in all very very cool!

Super organization before departure in Tromso. The bus ride in new coaches is entertaining at 1.5 hours. At Camp Tamok, everything is friendly and organized. The ride is about 10 km and takes about 1.5 hours. There are also super nice guides and warm clothes for the ride. Instruction was perfect and the tour was a lot of fun.... Gladly again next time...

It was a great evening. After a 90 minute drive through a winter wonderland we arrived at camp! 50cm powdered sugar! Not easy to control the snowmobile but really cool. The homemade fish soup was to die for and plentiful. Northern lights - unfortunately none this time - but if it were a great location.
