We departed from the port at 9 on what was a very dark and cloudy morning. The crew members gave us a very warm welcome from the very beginning and explained what to expect from the tour. One of them even took the time to get to know the passengers one-by-one! They know exactly the spot where wildlife activities commonly happen and it did not disappoint. I saw humpback whale(s?) and pods of orcas splashing and swimming about. The journey there and back was quite long but the scenery made it all bearable. Can’t complain!

It takes 3 hours to get to the “spot” where the killer whales and whales are. The outward journey was very complicated, the sea was very rough. Arrived on the spot we stayed only 15min… we had the chance to see 2 killer whales and the tail of a whale then we had to leave, for again 3 hours of boat. We didn't understand why we stayed so short while other boats stayed to watch the killer whales. Fortunately, the landscapes are magnificent and the staff on board are very friendly.

The guides were lovely, super friendly, really looked after us, over and beyond! The trip was great except when we travelled in the open water. The sea was so rough, a lot of us suffered from sea sickness including me. It was awful but the guides were amazing. Checking up on everyone offering advice, fanning us down. Despite the terrible weather with a blizzard and storm, we managed to see a orca and humpback whales. The Captain and guides we determine to let us see some fish, then pointed out where their were and it was a really community atmosphere on the boat. Everyone was great, and except the weather but what can you do. Next time l will book a trip that doesn’t go across open water, my stomach can’t handle it! I will go with one that sticks to the coast and between the islands, because the sea is that rough!
