Full description

Enjoy a guided tour at the world's most northern distillery - Aurora Spirit Distillery, where you will learn about alcohol production and try some for yourself. The tour will be given by a qualified staff member who will guide you through the process of manufacturing various types of spirits.

Meet your guide at Scandic Ishavshotel then hop-on the bus to Breivikeidet. Board a ferry to Svensby and then head straight to the Distillery. Visit a state of the art and atmospheric Viking inspired cask storage, where you can learn about the mythology and science behind the whisky brand Bivrost. This unique tour includes complimentary tastings, transfers and lunch, with time to relax in the visitor's centre enjoying the panoramic views of the Lyngen Alps and fjord.

Afterwards, your guide will escort you back on the ferry.

Meeting point

Departure from Tromsø 8.45 The Arctic Route Bus marked LYNGEN 917, departs at 08:45 from the Scandic Ishavshotel. The bus will leave promptly at 8.45. It is recommended that you are at the pickup point at least 15 minutes before departure, as the bus will not wait. The bus will take you to Breivikeidet where you will board the ferry as a foot passenger (this is included in the price of your transfer). Your activity provider will meet you on the other side at Svensby for further transportation. It can be very busy so please make sure you locate the right group. You will return to the ferry after your tour, where you will return to Tromsø, arriving back at approximately 16.30.
