Full description

Experience a unique mode of transport in northern Norway on an evening dog sledding adventure through snowy terrain, surrounded by the arctic mountain landscape and scenic fjords.

Join this authentic experience at the wilderness center Camp Tamok, a 90-minute scenic bus drive away from the city center of Tromsø. Upon arrival at the camp, you’ll receive warm winter clothes and required gear. Get a thorough safety briefing and a practical demonstration on how to steer the sled.

Share the sled with one other person and a dog team; one of you will be the musher, or driver, and the other can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Afterwards, enjoy a hot meal in a traditional Norwegian reindeer herder’s tent around an open fire. After relaxing and warming up, you can board the bus back to the city and reflect on a memorable adventure.

Real one of a kind experience, can recommend, staff were very nice too. Going at night is a bit of a gamble though, if the sky is clear and you can see the lights then there's nothing like it, but the chances of that happening are low, and you miss the scenery

Really helpful enthusiastic, professional and interested staff. (Thanks Pedro). Very well organised and we were lucky to see the lights. Plenty of time to take photos and look around. Sledging was such fun. Dogs were lovely. Supper not amazing but everything else made for a really nice special evening and we’ll organised. It was an exceptionally cold night we went but if you just sit in the sledge the whole time you will get a bit cold despite extra gear provided (which was all good quality) so dress up warm.We were lucky to have the lights over our head almost all the time even on return coach journey.lovely evening and coach trip out and back made for a nice long trip and countryside was stunning

Great tour with beautiful northern lights. The bus ride is a bit long, but in the camp itself the people are really motivated and friendly and the offer is great.
