Full description

Be picked up from the city center of Tromsø, from which you will be taken to the wilderness center in Camp Tamok. Upon arrival at the camp, get set up with all required equipment for the hike through the snow. Enjoy the serenity of your surroundings as you hear the crunch of snow underfoot.

Arrive at the nature camp where the guide will help you chop wood, start a fire and cook some delicious lunch. With your belly filled you will be shown how you can survive the ice-cold arctic wilderness. Learn how to sleep, what to eat, and how to find your way home.

After the snowshoeing tour, your next excursion will begin with a visit to the majestic Tromsø Ice Domes. Set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley, Tromsø Ice Domes are built every year as the Polar Night approaches. At the Ice Domes, join a guided tour and learn about the construction process of the ice hotel and the impact the snow has on the survival of arctic animals. There will be time to walk around freely and ask questions to the experienced guide.

Admire the snow and ice art that reflects the unique bond between man and nature. A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complimentary. You will be able to purchase other drinks, which will be served in the ice restaurant or ice bar. You can also visit the small herd of reindeer located at the Ice Domes. Take some time to feed these cute animals, before heading back to Tromsø.

The snowshoes were a super nice experience. Our guide had a deep knowledge of the surrondings and took us to very beautiful places. She was very energetic and fun. Be prepared to sweat at 0° and below! To me the ice domes were nothing to be excited avout.

Breath taking view of fjörds on the way to camp tamok from tromsø was amazing. We luckily got a nice guide name Emma/Emmy who was super curious to show and experience us the beauty of the nature covered with snow. We went for snow shoeing more than 1hours as our group was of only 7 adventure lover participants. She provide us lunch with 2sausages each person with Norwegian bread and a hot drink(i loved it so much) and some Marshmello. we enjoyed the event and felt like we were walking with friends. Guide was just like a happy smiley friend not like a commanding person at all. We got overall, mitten, gloves, shoes and even woolen socks. I recommend it if you like nature and adventure. We got to see reindeers, dog sledding but could not say hi to huskies as two of our group mates were in rush. This is the most economic trip with three/four outputs. A must do according to my opinion.

Interesting tour in the nature. Guide adjusted the snowshoeing route to the desires of the group and was nice and helpful. Also let us to lead the group (snowshoeing is the most interesting and demanding when you are going first). Ice domes are very beautiful.
