Full description
Starting from the Tromso city center, travel through the Fjordlands, Laplands or the outer islands of Troms in search of the Northern Lights. Weather permitting, make a fire and take portraits under the spectacular lights. Lasting anywhere from 5 to 9 hours, the tour stops along the way to get a view of the fjords and the landscapes that were formed by glaciers over the past 1,000 years. Once a place is found, stop to watch the lights and enjoy some marshmallows for roasting with hot chocolate. Put on the snow suits provided if you get cold. With a focus on photographing the natural wonder, your tour guide can help set up most cameras. The guide also brings their own camera equipment to make sure the beauty and magic of the night is captured.

The guide was very informative and ensured we saw Northern Lights. We found a spot 2 hours away from the city and had set up our campfire. We had marshmallows and also hot chocolate. After waiting for about 2 to 3 hours without any visible light activities mainly because of the thick clouds, the guide suggested we should move and find a different place. 30 minutes into the drive, the skies cleared and stars were visible. The guide quickly stopped the car by roadside took some shots using his camera and said we can get some photos around here. So we pulled in to a side road and tried our luck again. The dancing lady started to appear. Spent about 1 to 2 hours taking photos and just enjoying the lights. The only drawback I had was the van that we traveled with, lacked heated seats. Especially after spending hours under the snow. The built in heat wasn't sufficient for a group of 8 people.

The tour was planned for February 10, 2020. A day earlier we were recommended to postpone the tour by e-mail if possible, as the weather forecast for watching the northern lights was very poor. Our wish was fulfilled, the tour on February 14th. perform. We started when the snow was heavy. Jessi, our guide, nevertheless radiated a lot of optimism. During a 4 hour 'wandering' on the island of Kvaløya, Jessi was in constant contact with other guides. In between there was a group of reindeers and lots of snow to be seen on the roadside. A first opening of the cloud cover was used for some very nice photos under clear skies in beautiful nature without northern lights. Ultimately, everyone was rewarded for their patience. In the beautiful nature there were beautiful northern lights to be seen by a campfire over 2 or 3 hours. As a service, we were dropped off at our doorstep well after midnight. Jessi did a great job! Thanks.

First of all, we managed to see northern lights even though the weather was horrible. It was snowing hard everywhere, even in the city center. But our guide, Acosh(?) took us the right place to see northern lights and we did camp fire with our tour members eating marshmallows and hot chocolate. Also the tour members were so friendly and we chatted a lot! In the end, he drove us to our staying place by a car. It was such a nice trip with this team. Thanks a lot ❄️
