Your experience starts with a 75-minute scenic drive from Tromsø, to the wilderness center, Camp Tamok. Upon arrival, you'll be provided with warm clothes and shoes for the day. In the equipment room, you can also leave anything you don’t need on the tour. You'll get started with a thorough safety introduction and practical demonstration. You do not need any previous experience to drive a snowmobile, but you need to be physically fit.  You will drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile. You will have the opportunity to switch places during the trip. On the tour, you'll discover scenic mountains and the dramatic snow-covered Finn valley. Start at 250 meters above sea level and climb up to 900 meters above sea level. The trail is 15 kilometers each way and you will be on the snowmobile for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Due to the dramatic topography, you'll drive at a reduced speed during parts of the tour. The highest point of the trail is on the ice-covered Lake Finn, where you can speed up and get your adrenaline pumping. If time and weather permits, you can try some ice fishing on the lake, too.

Your comfortable coach will depart from the Magic Ice Bar for the scenic 75-minute drive to this evocative fairytale venue in the Arctic wilderness. Before visiting the magnificent Tromsø Ice Domes, go on an outdoor winter adventure. The snowmobiling activity lasts 90-minutes and journeys through untouched Arctic wilderness. Drivers will drive in pairs and have the chance to switch halfway during the track. Each driver must be 18 and hold a valid driver's license.  After the snowmobiling tour, be welcomed inside the Tromsø Ice Domes for a guided tour. Set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley, Tromso Ice Domes is built every year as the Polar Night approaches. The snow and ice art reflects the unique bond between man and nature in a breath-taking manner. The ice bar, ice cinema, ice bedrooms, and ice restaurant have themes ranging from local Sami culture to the northern lights, conveyed through beautiful colored lighting and wonderful ice sculptures.  At the Ice Domes, join a guided tour and learn about the construction process of an ice hotel and the impact the snow has for the survival of our arctic animals. There will be time to walk around freely and ask questions of the experienced guide. A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complimentary. Upon arrival, get kitted out in all the warm clothes and necessary, and receive a thorough safety introduction and practical demonstration. You don't need any previous skills to drive a snowmobile, all you need is to be in reasonable physical shape. Once you're ready, set out on your adventure. Drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. Pass scenic mountains and make your way through the dramatic snow-covered Finn valley. You will be on the snowmobiling track for approximately 2 hours, depending on the weather and snow conditions. During the tour, make a few stops to enjoy the breathtaking nature around you and, if you're lucky, gaze upon the northern lights. Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during parts of the tour.

Enjoy a nice and quiet Snowmobile safari surrounded by the beautiful fjords and mountains of the Lyngen Alps. The local provider will pick you up in Tromso at 8:50 AM, outside Scandic Ishavshotel and drive you to the Green Gold Villa in the Lyngen Alps.  Upon arrival, you’ll get warm clothes and a short training. Then, jump on snowmobiles and drive along Fjords and Mountains for 2 hours. Next, you’ll get a warm expedition meal, and finally start the panoramic drive back to Tromso where you’ll arrive at 4:00 PM.  You’ll need to be in fairly good physical shape and have a regular car driver's license to join this excursion. Meet your guide outside the Scandic Ishavshotel in Tromso. Drive to the Lyngen Alps in a minivan. There you’ll meet your instructors who will provide you with special clothing and training. Afterward, hop on your snowmobile and enjoy a 2-hour safari along the beautiful Lyngen Fjords & Alps. Sit down for warm group lunch after your excursion. Choose to go either snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or simply relax in your Cyrstal Lavvo. Meet back up with the group at 7:30 pm for a short photography workshop and dinner. Spending the night in a crystal lavvo is a one-of-a-kind experience not to miss! Everything is well organized, we were picked up with the larger group in Tromsø, transferred by bus and ferry to get to our final location. They have thermal suites and boots, but we brought our own just in case. We went snowshoeing and snowmobiling - both were great fun! The food was really good, plus tea/coffee whenever you want, the house is open 24/7 which is also where the toilet is. Even though it was very cloudy and we didn't see the northern lights, it was still totally worth sleeping in the crystal lavvo. The wood stove keeps it toasty warm and is easy to manage (we slept really well), there's outlets, & no overhead light but there is a candlelight. You have plenty of time to enjoy the property between activities, and a campfire in the evening. Everybody working there is super accommodating and easy-going. Highly recommend this experience while in Tromsø, well worth it!

This was an absolutely extraordinary trip that I will never forget. From the ferry cruise over the Fjord to get to the Lyngen Alps, to the courtesy, frendliness and professionalism of the staff of the Camp Troll team, everything was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my first time ever on a snowmobile. The mountains were just enthralling and they take you on a very full course all around the edge of the Lyngen Alps. Everything is there for you, including any extra layers, boots, the whole works. It felt like such a full day and was so satisfying. I wanted to immediately do it all again! Hopefully will one day!

It was a relaxed, no stress activity. Competent guides that know their stuff and put you at ease. A good sense of humor. It was a smaller group witch we appreciated very much. Équipement ans snowmobiles in top condition. Very clean place.

Very cool tour. Like all tours very well organized. Are partly also quite briskly jetted over the trail. Definitely depends on the group.
