What people are saying about Troms County

My seven year old son and I had an incredible time dog sledding. It's definitely one of the best things that I have ever done. Catching the coach was easy, when we arrived we were taken to the changing room to be kitted out with snowsuits, boots, gloves, they helped me get my son dressed which was really helpful. After this we had a quick demonstration on how to stay on the sleigh as a driver and passenger and then we were off around the Norwegian countryside. The views were spectacular and we loved every second of it. We got to go over some moguls which was really fun and we stopped halfway for photos. Once we finished the sleighing we got to to meet the husky puppies and the other dogs who were so friendly and excited to see us. It was such a truly wonderful experience and I recommend it to anybody.

Excellent Adventurous activity. I would recommend it as a must-do when you are in Tromso. The tour guide was friendly and caring. They have provided all the required gear. Jackets, Boots, hats, hand gloves, etc. Everything was clean and perfect in size. Guide has provided proper instructions to drive the sled. We enjoyed everything. For lunch, they offered couscous for a veg option & Reindeer stew for a non-veg option. They also served delicious chocolate homemade cake. pick up & drop by bus was also well organized. Overall excellent activity.

Our excursion was a challange as there was a huge storm and the rain and winds were pretty extreme. They were not able to do the sleigh ride so gave us a choice of full refund or partial refund if we chose to continue. I am so glad we did continue, the staff was so gracious and helpful. We got to feed the reindeer, have lunch and enjoy the talk on Sami culture. The woman who presented the talk was excellent and very interesting.

We had a lovely day meeting all of the huskies, they were so sweet and full of love. Unfortunately the weather was too bad to go out sledding but we were very happy we were still allowed to go and meet the dogs. The food was delicious afterwards and the team were really friendly. If we visit Tromsø again we’ll definitely be back to try sledding.

The information about Sami culture, was very interesting.
