We loved the evening with Katrin! It was super cosy, interesting and non-touristy, which we enjoyed a lot. Got to taste great locally produced proseccos along with a nice plate of locally produced meat and cheese. It was enjoyable to see Katrin's enthusiasm for her family's heritage (the vineyard) and to be able to ask lots of questions :-)! Would totally recommend the tour! To get there, we took the ferry from Triest to Grignano, walked around Miramare castle, spent a few hours relaxing at a beach close to Miramare castle and then walked up the steps to meet Katrin. The walk up took about 45 minutes and was super nice too as it's a bit hidden (though a bit of exercise :-)). Google Maps doesn't show you the route up but other hiking apps like "komoot" do. To go back it's best to buy bus tickets beforehand and then take the bus to Trieste.

We spent a super nice and interesseting afternoon in Prosecco - Contovello with our guide Katrin. She explained her wine production very understundable and detailed and we tasted the handmade wine in her wonderful winery. What a great tour with our guide Katrin, a very nice group of people, great wine and food - just to recommend! Thanks again - we had a great time :) :) :)

This tour was perfect. Nothing I write will fully express how gracious and entertaining our "guide" (KATRIN) was. Honestly - I felt like she was our best friend after the excursion. The wine and the food was all local and to die for! I can't emphasize how much room I forced my stomach to make because I wanted to keep eating. What I learned about Prosecco and the origin of the drink was interesting and unique. The history of Slovenia and Trieste was also fascinating. We loved the vineyard we spent our time in. The hike and views were beautiful and it was such a fun and unique experience. We left so enchanted with Katrin and Prosecco (the town and drink).
