Trento, in the heart of the Alps, has a millenary history, made up of Mittel-European traditions straddling the Germanic and Italian worlds, the evidence of which can be seen in the beautiful historic centre and is perfectly preserved, period after period, in the palaces, archaeological sites and museums of excellence that the city hosts. The visit takes place every Saturday from April 2023 to January 2024 at 10 a.m. and lasts approximately 2 hours. The meeting point is 15 minutes before the start of the activity at the Information Office in Piazza Dante, 24 in Trento. Navigate the rapids of Noce in Val di Sole on this guided rafting trip with all the gear you need for a safe adventure on the water. Upon arrival at the rafting facility, meet your guide and get everything you need for the activity, including a wetsuit and life jacket. Then, board the bus for a short 5-minute ride to the river. After hearing all the information about the activity, do some practical tests before heading off to the river to experience the rapids. You’ll start from the easy rapids and move your way up to more and more fun sections. The descent lasts about two hours, during which you’ll make a stop for those who want to take some time to try out swimming in the river. At the end of your tour, hop back on the bus to return to the center where you can take a shower, relax, and eat (food not included). Great via ferrata with wonderful views. This equipped path is very exposed and proceeds entirely offering glimpses of rare beauty of the lake and the Sarca Valley. At times there are breathtaking views on account of the vertical walls below. The excursion requires a lot of physical effort due to the vertical height gain involved. After reaching Cima Capi, you cross the old walkways, fortifications and tunnels built during the First World War. Don’t forget a torch to explore the fortifications on the way back.

Following a pickup from your hotel, you’ll head first to Bolzano, gateway to the Dolomites and capital of the province South Tyrol. Cross the Eggental valley that runs eastward between the Rosengarten massif and the Latemar mountain range. This road was built in 1894 when the territory was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Stop at Lake Carezza, the most beautiful lake of the western Dolomites, for a 30-minute break and walk around the lake. Next, arrive at Karerpass where you’ll see the historical Residence Grand Hotel Carezza, built in 1893, this was the first luxury hotel in the Dolomites and has hosted very important guests including the Empress Sissi, Winston Churchill, and Agatha Christie. From the Karerpass you’ll reach the Fassa Valley in Trentino and pass through the towns of Vigo di Fassa and Canazei to arrive under the imposing peaks of the Sella group. From here, begin a long series of 27 hairpin bends that will lead you to the famous Pordoi Pass at an altitude of 2,239m above sea level. Enjoy a one-hour break or take the cable car to Sass Pordoi at an altitude of 2,950m. From the Pordoi Pass, go down to the village of Arabba and continue east to the Falzarego Pass, the gateway to the eastern Dolomites. You’ll reach Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy’s premier mountain resort known as the Pearl of the Dolomites where the Winter Olympic Games were hosted in 1956. Cortina, together with Milan, will once again host the Winter Olympics in 2026. From Cortina, the next stop will be Lake Misurina with its incredible panoramic view of Three Peaks of Lavaredo. The lake, with its view of the peaks to the north and Sorapis to the south, is the most famous image of the Dolomites in the world. Just 20 minutes from Lake Misurina you’ll have the opportunity for a brief stop at another important lake in the Eastern Dolomites, Lake Dobbiaco. From Dobbiaco, you’ll reach the extreme northeast of Italy just a few kilometers from the border with Austria for the great finale of the day: a visit to the famous Lake Braies. From here, you’ll return to Bolzano via the Pusteria and the Isarco valleys.

The trip begins with a short lesson of communication on river, held by highly qualified rafting guides. All technical equipment required (life-vest, wetsuit, helmet) and a private bus will drive you for about 10 minutes to reach the starting point. You will then board on your raft with a maximum of 6 people each plus an expert guide. Your navigation starts right there! During this trip you will not only do rafting: you will also experience jumps in water, little swimming moments, races and competitions among boats and so much more! Continue to the Fassa Valley in Trentino, and pass through the towns of  Vigo di Fassa and Canazei to arrive under the imposing peaks of the Sella massif. Next, travel a long series of 27 hairpin bends (switchbacks) en route to the Pordoi Pass 2,239 meters above sea level. Stay for 1 hour, and take the cable car to Sass Pordoi, 2,950 meters above sea level (optional) when it's open (late May until mid-October and Christmas to Easter). Turn back on yourself and return to the Sella Pass to see the impressive vertical walls of the massif right before your eyes. Admire the glacier of Marmolada (3,343 meters) and majestic Sassolungo (3,181 meters), the most famous mountain in the Gardena Valley. After a 10-minute break to take photos, travel down the Sella Pass and enter he Gardena Valley, where you can explore its largest town with a 1-hour stop in Ortisei. Find a nice place for lunch before the return journey to Bolzano.
