What to see in and around Tower Bridge

London's iconic Tower Bridge is as extravagantly British as is possible for a bridge to be! It's undoubtedly a must-see. So how do you make the most of your visit to this unique triumph of engineering?

Glass Walkway

Glass Walkway

42 meters above the river, Tower Bridge's new glass walkway provides a knee-knocking view of the boats and pedestrians passing beneath your feet. Don't worry, it's quite safe!

East Walkway

East Walkway

The East Walkway not only offers great views across London's historic trading ports and buildings, but is also used as one of the city's most unique exhibition spaces.

Victorian Engine Rooms

Victorian Engine Rooms

Today the bridge is held up by Wi-Fi and selfies (probably), but the old engine rooms demonstrate the former logistic miracle that powered it, complete with authentic sounds and smells!

North Bank

North Bank

The short westward stroll leaving Tower Bridge offers a view spanning City Hall, HMS Belfast, and the Shard!

Tower of London

Tower of London

While at Tower Bridge, there are few excuses not to visit its historic namesake, the Tower of London. If you're short on time, the nearby gardens of St. Dunstan-in-the-East are a worthy substitute.

Lovely river trip, the running commentary very informative & amusing!

Great day out on the river trip from Westminster to Greenwich & back. The on board commentary was very informative & made the trip all the more enjoyable. Unfortunately had to queue for nearly an hour to board the boat for the return journey, not sure if this is usual as we weren't anticipating a delay & there was no explanation given. Just to mention as well that there are no loos at the dock so be prepared! Overall a great day out regardless & excellent value for money, would recommend.

A lovely tour, with excellent commentary!

We chose to sit up top on the boat, to get unobstructed views. If you do so, be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen (or being an umbrella on a rainy day). We passed by old and new, from the Tower of London to the London Eye and the skyline of modern buildings. The narration by the captain was excellent! Come prepared to leave an optional tip. We got off in Greenwich, where we saw the Maritime Museum and the Prime Meridian! Afterwards, we were able to get home by the Tube.

Great tour, in early way before it got crowded

Our tour guide was awesome, if he saw you taking interest in something he’d come up to you and give even more information on it. 3rd time there but could never see the Crown Jewels because of line- sailed thru it! Special shout out to DENNIS who was amazing helping us catch up to the tour and Rob our tour guide! 3rd time in London, 1st time using your tour company-all of our tours thru you were amazing!! Thank you for making my 87 year fathers trip memorable!

Very informative cruise with live commentary

Excellent sightseecruise on a very spacious boat. First class live commentary by very experienced staff. Extremely informative on all the individual points of interest, which gave an excellent insight into the history of not only the Thames but the surrounding areas. Food and drink available on board at very affordable prices. An excellent way to cruise the Thames and one I would certainly recommend.

A very enjoyable cruise, efficiently run and well worth the money

I took my 85 year-old-father on this cruise as a birthday outing and he thought the whole thing was wonderful. The boat was comfortable and the commentary both informative and entertaining. Organisation was first-rate. Highly recommended.
