Murano and Burano were amazing and enoyed them thoroughly

The meeting point was very vague, we got to the place shown on the map and then were clueless where to wait. luckily we met others on the tour and huddled together. The Glass blowing demonstration was amazing, we really enjoyed it, plenty of time to view the showroom and the souvenir shop and a quick coffee. Burano was also great, the coloured houses and the shops were great for pictures but there was so many shops and so little time that we felt rushed and clock watching a lot to make sure we were back at the boat on time. Torcello for us was a waste of time, it was about 15 minute walk down a canal to get to the church ruins and then when we arrived, there was no one around, was like a ghost town, none of the exhibitions were accessible, the toilets were padlocked shut and we ended up buying a drink at a restaurant on the way back just to use their bathroom facilities. We would have benefitted with more in Burano instead.

Great tour, but not enough time on the islands.

This is a great tour, really enjoyed our boat trip to the beautiful islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. The only thing I can say that let it down, was that you don't get enough time on the islands to have a look properly. Personally i would have liked to have spent more time on thefirst two islands and missed out the last one. Also the tour guide was a little ignorant. She marched off on the islands, meaning that people that can't walk very fast missed out on what she was saying. She didn't tell us anything when we set off, juat said follow me, and we were wondering all the way down to the boat, if we'd actually got the right group. Luckily we had. All in all.... a really great experience! Would recommend.

Venice: Murano, Burano and Torcello Islands Boat Tour Reviewed by

Most relaxing way to explore the other islands in the lagoon

The trip was in a beautifully restored fishing boat - a picture perfect way to spend several hours exploring the other islands. Watching glass blowing on Murano was fascinating, but you do need to be strong to resist the underlying pressure to spend money in the shop afterwards. Burano with its colourful houses was simply stunning and Torcello was so peaceful, it seemed to offer the perfect escape from the pressures of our busy lives. Our guide was charming and unobtrusive - I would definitely recommend this as a great way of exploring the smaller islands.

Excellent value for money, a very pleasant 4 hours.

I wish we had longer in Murano. The shop was huge with hundreds of items but we only had 20 minutes to get our purchases and be back at the boat. A lot of that time involved queuing at the till. The glass items were gorgeous. Torcello was a waste of time. It was quite a long walk to the shops and church, then had to walk straight back to the boat. Burano was beautiful with all the different coloured houses.

Great value tour, hit all the high spots, good quality boat.

Very good trip, excellent staff and well organised. Only comments. Tour guide presentation intrusive it was delivered loudly in several languages. Murano visit only included glass blowing and no time to see what looked a great location. Would like more time at Burano and less at Torchello. That said you need to got back independently.
