This monastery was built in 1897 on the basis of a miraculous vision that the shepherd Petko had, dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. What is fascinating is the fact that the monastery itself is carved into the rock and that the space in the cave was originally and only used. It existed so that space could be expanded later, which gave it the shape of a church. At its base, the Dajbabe monastery has an inscribed church in the shape of a cross. The entrance porch with bell towers is the only part of the monastery that is outside the rock of the actual cave. Inside the monastery, the relics of Saint Simeon of Dajbap are preserved.
