A great trip. You have to remember that this is a ticket for a regular train and not for panoramic carriages with reserved seats in the Bernina Express. You can admire the views with the window open - the windows do not open in the panoramic carriages. You can get off anywhere and on the next train - it is not possible for reserved seats. At the beginning of the Bernina Express train there are ordinary wagons without seat reservations, not everyone knows about it.

We slept in Tirano, a charming little town, from where the Bernina Express leaves, a wonderful ride, beautiful landscapes! It's really worth it! In Tirano we opted for the B&B where Bruno kindly took care of us. The regional train from Milan to Tirano has a beautiful view of Lake Como...completes the tour.

Very enjoyable. Had the carriage to ourselves for much of the journey ( June). Great to be able to open the windows. Just missed the commentary so upgraded to Bernina Express for return journey for 26 Swiss francs.

Fantastic train. Incredible views an beauty. We were very, very happy.
