Had a lovely day cruising around with the boat and then enjoying lunch and a quick swim in a beach. Stay at the beach isn't too long, most of the trip you will be spending time on the boat and in the bus getting to the peninsula, but if you are well informed about how it's going to be, then the trip will definitely be a fun day out of Thessaloniki. Our tour guide Eleni was great and had a lovely chat to her about the local history and most relevant conflicts about the area.

Our Tour Guide Eleni was great. The boat ride was pleasant although the boat was quite far from the shore & you can hardly see the monasteries. The beach we visited was warm & had really clear waters, we all loved it. You have no chance getting lounges on the beach, they get taken up by people staying in the area well before the boat arrives. Some people on the boat had nowhere to sit & the sea got choppy.

This trip was operated by a Ammon express. We were a group of three people which was really nice and had Dimitris as our amazing tour guide. If you can try to book this tour with him! We drove to the third leg of the peninsula of halkidiki and took a cruise around Mount athos. It was an amazingly beautiful journey and I was lucky enough to see Dolphins on their natural habitat :) Just the trip itself was very relaxing.
