The trip was very interesting as we had a great guide- Helen and the driver-Demotrious-was excellent too. I do think though it would have been better visiting Mt Olympus first, then lunch and Dion afterwards rather than the other way around. It’s important too to remember that the trip cost is only for the transportation and the guide services- nothing else is included.

The archaeological site is quite large and spread out, and there was enough time to go around everything. It's not too touristy and there is a nice museum that accompanies it. The trek we went on afterwards was basically just a 1 kilometer walk to the waterfalls. The tour also includes lunch and some free time in Litochoro, a charming little town. The guide for this tour was Nepheli and she was extremely friendly, kind, very helpful and passionate about her job. In general, this was a pleasant excursion to Olympus and the ancient city of Dion, although overall, I wouldn't say the whole tour is anything spectacular, rather just alright.

A relaxed excursion into the surrounding area. Our guide, Nikos, was totally personable and open. We had enough time everywhere. Dios (focus of the tour) and the two museums are certainly not must-see attractions, but they are worthwhile if you are in the region for a few days. Tip: if you are primarily concerned with Mount Olympus and/or if you are expecting a real hike in the Olympus mountains, you should look for another tour. The walk ends quite suddenly and quickly at a waterfall.
