Inexpensive and interesting trip, self-guided to two contrasting places. Filerimos beautiful and so peaceful, we had one hour there. Valley of the Butterflies is nature at its best - truly special experience. Lots of steps, some quite rough but with good handrails. It takes about 50 minutes to reach the delightful cafe at the top, by which time you will definitely have earned a rest! We are late 60s/early 70s and managed the climb OK - but do take sensible shoes and water. You don’t need a sunhat for the walk, since it’s shaded by trees. We had two hours there.

We arrived at Butterfly valley early so it was quiet but not many butterflies out. A very pleasant walk up to monastery and back down before the majority of tourists arrived. The boat ride to Halki was very rough. The island was beautiful and we had enough time to explore the town, have lunch, visit the beach and have a last drink before returning to Rhodes. A very long but enjoyable day overall.

The trip was really good. We went to the butterflies valley quite early before other tourists groups and the trip to the island in the ferry went quite smoothly , taking into consideration the covid restrictions and certificate checks

I really enjoyed this trip. Especially peacocks near the cross. Was rly surprised by quantity of buterflies in the vale.

Beautiful places, enough free time and friendly tour guides. Would definitely recommend.
