A great afternoon listening to the life in Bath at the time of Jane Austen. It is nice to learn about the author but also how people lived in Bath in 18th -19th century. Helpful explanations are provided, as well as original objects from the times. It is not a proper museum and it might be a bit overpriced, but the warmth of the host and staff makes it all worth!

It was a very good experience. The only worry we had was that the staff in the cafe weren't wearing masks. When we asked we were told it was because it didn't go with their costumes. This was in the first day that the cafe was open after lockdown so they may have changed their minds by now.

I enjoyed my visit very much. I was sorry not to have more time available, especially to include a visit to the tearooms! The staff were absolutely delightful and very helpful. The instructor marked down only because I was unable to understand all she said, which was really sad. Her enthusiasm was infectious but for those suffering from a hearing disability and who also rely on lip-reading to a certain extent, she needs to slow down and not drop her voice or move her head quite so much. Beautifully theatrical but a little lost in interpretation.
