  • From London: Full-Day Tour of the Cotswolds

    1. From London: Full-Day Tour of the Cotswolds

Travel from London and spend a relaxing day exploring the quintessentially British countryside of the Cotswolds, an area known for its beautiful green landscape, charming villages and honey-colored stone cottages. This small-group tour spends the day exploring some of the highlights of the Cotswolds, as well as some of the quieter, less visited areas of countryside. The first stop of the day will be the picturesque town of Bourton-on-the-water. Affectionately known as ‘the Venice of the Cotswolds’, this pretty location is one of the most charming towns in the Cotswolds and a popular visitor destination. Take ample time to stroll along the river, wander over the small bridges and admire the stone cottages. The next stop is Stow-on-the-Wold, a jumble of ancient inns and antique shops located around the market square. Stow has been a center of trade in the Cotswolds for centuries and is k...

It is indeed a very enjoyable tour. Kevin the driver was extremely helpful and joyful.

  • From London: Oxford and Cotswolds Villages Day Trip

    2. From London: Oxford and Cotswolds Villages Day Trip

Depart London and travel by luxury Mercedes mini-coach to spend the morning exploring the beautiful university city of Oxford. Wander amongst the listed buildings and colleges, and climb one of the vantage points to get breathtaking views of the dreaming spires. Marvel at masterpieces of art and antiquities at the Ashmolean Museum, and then head towards the quaint villages of the Cotswolds to see tiny cottages built from traditional stone. Visit the village of Burford, the Gateway to the Cotswolds, and experience the small market town with enormous character and depth. Stop at an additional Cotswold village. Then, make the short journey to Bibury and take the opportunity to stroll to the famous Arlington Row.

What a fabulous day! The Cotswolds are absolutely charming. The perfect cure to 9 days in the City. Oxford was beautiful with so much history. Our guide, Samuel (Jesus ), was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He kept our group running on time throughout the day. Not an easy task with 14 tourist. He also had great recommendations of places to go and things to eat. He recommended milk tea and scones, and even gave very detailed instructions on the proper way to eat a scone, so that we didn’t embarrass ourselves ( or our guide) .

Exceptional tour guide and coach driver, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area as well as stunning views of the Coswild villages. The only downside is we didn't get to have lunch at the Swan Hotel, as listed. We were taken to a place called the Cotswold Arms and the food was a joke. The apple crumble was bitter and the steak pie had no base, it was one inflated puff pastry balloon. Sainsbury's provide better meals for 1/20th of the price. The same tour without lunch is £55 and we paid £96 for the tour with lunch. That's £46 on a very, very poor lunch. But the stunning views and villages compensated. Beautiful day trip.
