Its name reflects the fact that one of its walls borders directly with the adjacent house. The church’s Romanesque base dates from the 12th century and the building was later modified in Gothic and Baroque styles. At one time the church was a lively center of the Utraquist Church and supported by wealthy burghers. The famous Baroque sculptor Ferdinand M. Brokoff is buried here.

Experience a performance of well-known classical music at the centuries-old Church of St. Martin in the Wall in Prague. Tickets are available in rows 1 to 4, or 5 to 9, for the 70-minute program. Soprano Libuse Moravcova Myratska is joined by violin and organ soloists to perform a varied program of well-loved classical compositions. Marie Dvorska and Filip Himmer join on violin, whilst Michelle Hradecka and Drahoslav Gric play the organ: • J. S. Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D minor  • J. J. Reconstructed in the Gothic style, the church offers excellent acoustics and an historic setting to complement the festive occasion.

Prestația interpreților la superlativ. Soprana ne-a încântat cu vocea ei, interpretarea la vioara excelenta, iar organizata i-a susținut pe ambii întregul concert. M-a impresionat in mod deosebit cu tehnica ei și cu modul cum stăpânea orga. Recomand sa ii ascultați dacă aveți ocazia.
