On the day of Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo tour, lunch will be served as a “Buffet” with different meat and fish dishes. (Full lunch on both of 2 days of activities with starters, drinks, dessert and coffee included) In these 2 days of activitiest, you will have the privilege of having a general view of the most iconic places of the entire “green” island, from which stand out the emblematic viewpoints such as Vista do Rei in Sete Cidades, (winner of the 7 Wonders of Portugal ) or Pico do Ferro, where you can see from the top of the crater one of the most active volcanoes in the Azores archipelago and learn all about its eruptive history with more than 100,000 years. You will also have the opportunity to relax in hot thermal pools, heated by Furnas volcano, at one of the biggest and best Botanical Parks in Europe, Terra Nostra Park. Also the visit to Pineapple and Tea Plantations will be a “must”. In the Northeast area, we will visit the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park with its 5 water mills and its imposing and majestic waterfall, entitled “Véu da Noiva”. Starting through Ponta Delgada, along Avenida do Mar, following the beaches of Água D´Alto, until we reach the first capital of the island, Vila Franca do Campo, stopping at the viewpoint of Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo where we can see its incredible islet, the result of an underwater volcanic eruption and where the Red Bull Cliff Diving has been running for 3 years, now; After this short break, we will drive to the bucolic Lagoa das Furnas (Entry not included, available by choice or at customer’s expense), area where the famous “Cozido das Furnas” is cooked in volcanic soil for 6 hours, and here we can observe the removal of the pots from the volcanic ground by local restaurants. We will also visit the various fumaroles and boilers from that area; Back on the road and towards the parish of Furnas you can optionally relax in pools of hot springs, over 30 degrees, that spur incessantly from railway springs. This is an experience of thermal charisma, with the option of the client and alternative, between Poça da Dona Beija) and the pools of Parque Terra Nostra, where in addition to being able to swim, you can also visit its amazing Botanical Garden Terra Nostra Park, considered one of the best and largest in Europe. A view of the splendid bay, a magnificent garden and a smiling welcome for a tea tasting at the Gorreana Tea Factory or Porto Formoso Tea Factory.

Explore Furnas crater lake, village, local food, geysers, see beautiful botanic garden, exotic and rare plants, end with a hot springs thermal bath surrounded by Nature! Meet us at the Marina of Vila Franca do Campo for check-in at the specified time. The day starts with a short briefing and van tour up the Furnas volcano crater down to the mystic Furnas valley and lake, stopping for sightseeing and photos. Have lunch in a village restaurant, taste the most genuine island meal - an authentic geyser-cooked “cozido”. Visit nearby volcanic activity and fountains of mineral water. Have one hour free to explore the beautiful village’s streets, featuring crossing rivers, watermills, chapels and fountains. At 15:30 meet the guide at Terra Nostra Gardens gate, and start a walking botanical journey showcasing a singular collection of plants and flowers of cultural and historic value from all around the World. End with a relaxing mineral-infused and beautiful thermal pool surrounded by wonderful nature. No matter what season or level of expertise there’s always something interesting for everyone to enjoy. Begin your tour with pickup at your hotel or accommodation. Leave Ponta Delgada and make your first stop at Vila France do Campo, the first capital of São Miguel located on the south coast. Here, taste the famous Queijada da Vila pastry, a type of cheesecake created by nuns. Next, head toward Furnas Valley and spot volcanic phenomena, known as fumaroles, near Furnas Lake as you arrive. Find out how the true gastronomic specialty of Azores, the famous Cozido das Furnas, or Furnas stew, is cooked. Follow this with a visit to the Terra Nostra Garden and have the opportunity to experience a thermal bath before lunch is served. After lunch, see more volcanic phenomena in Furnas village, as well as the fumaroles in a mix of hot and fresh waters, some with medicinal properties. On the way up to the mountains, stop to admire the amazing over Furnas Valley from Pico de Ferro's viewpoint. Then, visit the Gorrean tea plantation and its factory in Ribeira Grandes, on the north coast. Taste two kinds of tea found in São Miguel, black and green. Finally, make your last stop at Santa Iria's viewpoint to have a gorgeous view over the north coast. On this tour, feel and experience the volcanic origins of the magical Island in Furnas. Start by visiting the Chá Gorreana in order to visit the interesting factory and learn more about one of the most unique tea plantations in Europe. The Cozido meal prepared earlier will be your lunch, served at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the centenary Terra Nostra botanical garden, famous for its extraordinary collection of native plants on the Azores, as well as exotic plants from all over the world. At the end of the visit, you are invited to bathe in an iron-rich hot water swimming pool with a temperature between 35 and 40ºC, an exquisite experience! On the journey back to Ponta Delgada, stop at several beautiful viewing points on the North Coast and at the only tea plantation on the North Coast.

Be picked up in Ponta Delgada and head towards Vila Franca do Campo. During your stop at Vila Franca do Campo, you’ll get the chance to see its beaches and inlets. After your stop at Vila Franca do Campo, you’ll visit Lagoa das Furnas. Here you’ll try the famous cozido das Furnas at a local restaurant. Cozido das Furnas is a meat stew that is cooked in the ground, making for a tasty lunch. Visit Parque Terra Nostra, which is a thermal spa and resort. In Furnas, you’ll also visit Caldeiras das Furnas, a complex of volcanic thermal hot springs. Afterwards, head to the Pico do Ferro lookout point for panoramic views of the island. Before the tour comes to an end, you’ll visit the local tea factory, Gorrena, and stop at the Santa Iria viewing point.
