Full description
The day begins with a panoramic tour in Tlatelolco, today the largest Archaeological site in Mexico City that was part of the capital of the Aztec Empire. It was the main marketplace of that empire and where the conquest of the Aztecs was consummated. Right there is the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where the pre-Hispanic, colonial and present world of Mexico meet. Later, continue the tour to the Basilica of Guadalupe, the most important religious building in all of Mexico and one of the most visited places in the Catholic world, which receives annually more than twenty million pilgrims. After the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City, continue to Teotihuacan, the City of the Gods, located in the northeast of Mexico City. In Teotihuacan, the guide will tell you about the history of this place, its mysteries, its development, its greatness, its importance and its fall. After, you will have free time for those who wish to climb to the Pyramid of the Sun or walk through the famous Avenue of the Dead.

We are a group of five friends traveling together. We had such a wonderful time on this private tour to Tlalteco, Teotihuacan and the Basilica of Guadalupe. Our tour guide Carlos and driver Cristian were impeccable. Carlos was fun, engaging, very informative, and spoke fluent English for our non-Spanish speakers. The van was spacious and comfortable for all of us. Highly recommend!

Gio, our guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great day. He was flexible, tailoring his information to our interests. We also visited the Basilica and Gio gave us all the background. Pedro, our driver, was great also - very capable. They had water for us, which was essential - it was hot!

Ramon and Pedro picked us up right on time at the Airbnb. We signed up for the private tour so the van was very comfortable and spacious for the four of us. Ramon was a "walking" history book on Aztec history - he even had pictorials and maps to show us. The ride took approximately 1.5 hours - no traffic since it was Christmas Day. Teotihuacan was the first stop. We first stopped in a village before heading to the actual pyramids. We climbed both the Sun and the Moon pyramids. Ramon was an excellent photographer - we had the best family picture in front of the Sun pyramid. Lunch was on site and delicious! Our next stop was the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. There was a lot of traffic and crowds due to Christmas. Pedro the driver was very skilled in navigating the traffic toward the Basilica. We were then driven back to our Airbnb at a good time. Over all, it was an excellent adventure and educational experience. Ramon and Pedro were superb!
