Temple of Heaven: Tours & Tickets
What people are saying about Temple of Heaven
This was awesome. Favorite tour I did while we were in Beijing. The walking aspect of it was great because we got to see so much more then we expected. Despite the other reviews we loved the foot massage and so did the other people in our group. The medicine shop was really cool. You do have to tip the people For the foot massage but in our eyes we saw nothing wrong with that like other people reviewing because you have the option to opt out if you don’t like it. Leo’s english was fabulous best English speaking tour guide we had while we were in Beijing. It was fluent English not broken English like most other tour guides we had. The only complaint was the pearl shop. Everyone just stood around and didn’t do anything if you don’t want to shop you’re forced to stay in there for 45 minutes. I wish the temple of heaven was longer we stayed at the pearl shop longer than the temple Of heaven. Overall it was a really great tour and we LOVED LEO!!
We had a small group of tourists during winter so it was a good size to move quickly and explore the highlights of each places. Vik was our guide, fluent in English. The Summer Palace was my favorite and I’m glad that Vik took us to the entrance near the iconic bridge. We were given 1 hour to explore. I would’ve wished it was at least 2 hours coz the land area was so huge. Lunch was good. The coach we used while it’s on time and clean enough, it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke in it. As indicated in the itinerary, there were 2 shopping stops for this tour.
This is a perfect tour that covers many things in one day. My first compliment is on the timing - everything was going smoothe, and we are back at the hotel by 4pm. Our guide Henry was very knowledgable and I felt I could ask him everything. Lunch was exellent too, since I am allergic to soy I am limited in China but in this restaurant he took us I could eat everything they served! Compared to the tour I have taken to the great wall with this company, I've enjoyed this one way better.
Our guide Yoyo (with cute litte donkey flagpole) was not only great, she was very knowledgefull. History lessons was paired very well. Time was Forbidden as palace was huge with classical cultures while Summer seems beautiful in the lake. Local lunch was nice with its local flavors. Really wish those 2 commercial stops were removed as NONE like it as it really spoil the trip.
Be prepared to walk and in the winter wear multiple layers. The guide's English was good and very knowledgeable. Do the activities on the pond instead of crossing bridge and climbing the stairs for a "better" view of the palace.
