As Australians we did not know what to expect from this tour but we're very pleasantly surprised. The guide, Mara, was exceptional and was very accommodating with any questions from the group. She represented Croatia faithfully and was very informative about its history and fight for survival and independence. She emphasised the devastation of Dubrovnik caused by the 1667 mammoth earthquake. She was very aware that some in the group needed to meet their Cruise ship and she calmly got us there in time and yet very informed about the old city etc. The cable car view was breathtaking. This was a tour where all our expectations were exceeded and it was in no small way due to the excellent representation Mara provided. We highly recommend yout organisation and this tour. Anthony E.
Our walking tour was great and our guide was fantastic. It was very interesting to have a genuine local guide who knew so much about the town and had personally experienced many of the recent events of Dubrovnik. I would recommend this tour to everybody. Take the time to visit the fort at the top of the cable car ride. It is still in the same condition as it was during the attack on Dubrovnik and there are some very interesting items and photographs on display. It was cloudy when we went on the cable car but the view was still spectacular. I found this tour quite emotional and better appreciate the experiences of the Croatian people during the war as well as their long term historical journey. Excellent value for money. My guide, Danijela, was superb! Not only was she full of information about the rich history of Dubrovnik and all it has to offer, but she had a great sense of humor as well which made the entire tour (including a walk through the old city, a cable car ride to the top of Mount Srdj, and a complete walk around the old city castle walls) a true delight and an enjoyable experience! This is also a great way to get to know the city so I would recommend booking as part of your first day in Dubrovnik.
Our guide, Andrea was extremely knowledgeable and her passion for the city is obvious and admirable. Unfortunately due to weather, the cable car ride was cancelled, but the rest of the tour did not disappoint. The walk on the old town wall and also Andrea's knowledge of the Game of Thrones TV show was really impressive. Highly recommended!
The tour guide was exception. Born and living in the old town he had real passion, enthusiasm and knowledge for what he showed us. Dubrovnik is stunning and definitely worth a visit.
