Full description
Start with a pickup from a centrally located pickup point in Tel Aviv and drive to Jerusalem. Your trip starts with a guided tour of the Old City, the heart and soul of ancient Jerusalem. Visit the Armenian, Christian, Arab, and Jewish neighborhoods and take in the unique atmosphere of a city holy to Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike. Visit the Western Wall and see the Temple Mount, explore the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and walk part of Via Dolorosa as your guide shares the stories and the history of Jerusalem of old. After your Old City tour, you will have a short break to muse over your impressions before continuing to the modern city outside of the walls. Explore famous landmarks such as the Montefiore Windmill, The YMCA building, and secret garden, the majestic King David Hotel, and the Russian Compound. Walk down the pedestrian boulevard Nachalat Shiva and get a glimpse of Jerusalem of today and rub shoulders with the locals at the bustling Machane Yehuda market, the one place where past and present, secular and religious, local and traveler all come together. The tour was great and I really enjoyed the variety (old + new district)! Our guide (Yossi Shenhav) was extremely well read and was able to answer all questions and much more. In addition, he was insanely hard-working and personable. During the summer time it is highly recommended to drink at least 2L during the tour - don't worry, you will pass enough toilets.

At the beginning there was some confusion, when leaving Tel Aviv. The bus was delayed on arrival cca 20 min, and the driver gave us no information - there were people for tours to different places, all wondering if this was the right bus. In the end we all got on the same bus, which drove towards Jerusalem. In Jerusalem the bus stopped by one the hotels and there we met our guide Josi, who was very helpful and experienced. The tour was excellent.

The tour was really worth it if you have little time in Jerusalem. It was lively and we each had enough time to look around ourselves. The information was interesting without being completely overwhelmed. Our guide Hanoch was funny, very nice and we were completely satisfied with him. We would definitely recommend the tour!
