Discover Milford Sound on an 8-hour adventure with round-trip transport from Te Anau and a 2-hour cruise through the fiord. If you are looking to explore both Milford and Doubtful Sounds, it is worth staying one or two nights in Te Anau. There is plenty to do plus you will save yourself the long journeys to and from Queenstown. At Milford Sound, climb aboard the leisurely nature cruise for an informative, interactive, and relaxed experience. A specialist guide will provide live informative commentary and you can admire the fiord’s wildlife, waterfalls, and mountains. Enjoy lunch on board the cruise — you may bring your own lunch or purchase snacks and drinks (cash only) on the vessel. Be prepared to enjoy some rainfall during your visit; the landscape is especially dramatic when it rains in Fiordland. Enjoy the spectacular views from a dry, comfortable vantage point on board the vessel. Following the cruise, immediately board the luxury coach for the return journey to Te Anau, arriving between 4:30 PM and 5:45 PM, depending on the season.

A must do while in the South Island Amazing day trip with Great coach driver and cruise captain and crew We had a meal on the boat (Fish and Chips) and were very lucky to get out to sea further than usual due to the beautiful weather Would recommend the trip to all ages

We left from Te Anau so the length of the trip to Milford Sounds was okay. I think if we had left from Queenstown it would have been too long.The coach trip is comfortable enough though there's not a lot of leg room in the seats.The commentary was excellent, the driver really knew his stuff. The cruise was really good Beautiful scenery and great to know the history The commentary on the boat was also very knowledgeable. All in all a very good trip well worth it.

Fantastic trip, Jill our guide was super lovely and informative, lots of great stops for photos on the road into Milford Sound. So sad to have only 5 of us on a huge 52 seater bus though, get out there kiwis and see our country without all the foreign tourists, its magic!
