Full description

The Devil Tracker Adventure is a guided 4-wheel drive tour in the native forest near the Unzoo. See first-hand how the healthy Tasmanian devils of the isolated Tasman Peninsula are being tracked and monitored with special hi-tech infrared night cameras. Enjoy access to the Unzoo in addition to the tour.

Your guide will lead you to a hidden camera site in the forest and then to the Devil Tracker Station to identify and monitor vital devil activity and health data by downloading the latest images from the cameras and keeping a nightly record of devil activity. It’s a great way to learn about the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo’s role in the fight to preserve and protect the endangered Tasmanian devil species. You’ll also discover the intimate habitat relationship between natural bush and farmland, how to identify wildlife highways, and discover traces of nocturnal wildlife activity.
