5. Fuerteventura Trike Tours From Caleta de Fuste
Feel the warm wind in your hair on board a fun trike tour of Fuerteventura. This ticket gives you 4 options to choose from, including a short 2-hour taster tour to whet your appetite for the thrills to come, and an 8-hour maxi tour that takes you on a full island loop. The inexperienced and non-drivers can ride with a chauffeur, and the trikes can carry up to 2 passengers.
Whichever tour you choose, you will see the island from a unique perspective, as you cruise through a barren volcanic landscape lined with palm trees, enchanting Spanish villages, twisting mountain roads, and stunning ocean views.
The Discovery Tour:
The most popular of the trike tours, the 4-hour Discovery Tour explores the west coast of Fuerteventura, stopping at the traditional Spanish village of Pajara, full of beautiful courtyards, docile donkeys and an amazing church. Return through the mountain range, with a stop to feed the amusing chipmunks and hand-tamed ravens, George and Mildred!
Then it’s onwards to view the cheeky giants above the historic valley of Betancuria, and take in the panoramic views from the observatory (closed Sunday and Monday).
The South Tour:
The 6-hour South Tour covers up to 60% of Fuerteventura, including the beautiful sand dunes of Jandia and the fantastic coastline at Costa Calma. Take a comfort break for lunch (optional), and then head back through the interior of the island taking in some of the lovely villages along the way.
The Taster Tour:
The great 2-hour Taster Tour travels through the beautiful countryside of Los Alares, Antigua and Betancuria. Feel the wind in your hair and the exhilaration of being in the open air as you return through Triquiviate and the coastal road back to Caleta.
The Maxi Tour:
Head off in a southerly direction on the 8-hour Maxi Tour, driving through the many little hamlets and villages down towards Jandia, where you will stop on the beach to buy a light snack, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery and coastline.
Then it’s back on the trikes to travel up the west coast of the island, stopping to feed the chipmunks in Betancuria and visit the observatory for 360 degree views of the island. Continue up towards Correlejo in the north on a fantastic full-day out that takes you to the more hidden parts of Fuerteventura.
