Tangier Highlights Private 6-Hour Tour

1. Tangier Highlights Private 6-Hour Tour

Explore the cosmopolitan city of Tangier on a private sightseeing tour and discover all its main attractions, from bustling markets to historic caves. You will first drive to Malabata Cape (East Tangier) for a great orientation view of the city. Look over at Europe on one side and Africa on the other. Drive through the new city to Spartel Cape (West Tangier), considered the most northwesterly point of Africa, and where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean. The next stop will be the Caves of Hercules, inhabited since the Neolithic period. According to legend, the caves were once the home of Hercules, who created the Straits of Gibraltar with a single blow of his hand. Discover the old face of the city, starting with the Kasbah, where artists and writers have gathered for centuries. Go to the Archaeological Museum, before walking through the colorful streets of the Medina to Mendoubia Gardens and Saint Andrews Church. Experience the electric atmosphere of the Berber market of Sidi Bouabid, where you will have some free time to shop before your drop-off.

Tangier: Chicken and Olives Tagine Cooking Experience

3. Tangier: Chicken and Olives Tagine Cooking Experience

Receive an immersive food- and tea-based Experience based on storytelling, authentic sharing, and household techniques in making Moroccan bread from scratch, mint tea, and dishes like Chicken Tagine. Our Guests typically leave transformed by our efforts in providing authentic, warm Experiences that touch the heart. From the moment that Guests arrive their welcome is communicated. Dates and milk accompany an orientation to the Experience, followed by a word from the Owner. Then it's aprons on! Cooking of our Tagines involves step-by-step cooking guidance and stories from the life of the Experience Leader as well as support on the practical side from our Experience Assistants. Once the Tagines are simmering on their stoves, we move to bread-making from scratch. Stories and fun here, too. From the Bread Experience it's on to our beloved Tea Ceremony and a cup of tea few will forget! Herbs accompany the mint and green tea, complementing both the humor and depth that surround the significant "rhythm" of Moroccan life. Completing the Tagine involves steps involved toward a visual presentation that appear in photograph after photograph (if you don't bring your phone or camera, no worries - our Team takes photos of every stage of the Experience). Naturally things conclude with a Dining Experience with your Experience Leader and Assistants enlivening conversation and sharing. The enjoyment of the dish, too, involves its own surprises in terms of sumptuousness! All around an Experience that consistently ranks among the best in the Mediterranean basin!
