Frank Hsieh was an excellent guide and driver. He was attentive by asking us if we want to grab breakfast, translated things, and helped us order food whenever we are at a food stall. His English is sufficient enough for me to communicate with him by mixing Taiwanese and English. He walked with us while explaining various highlights of the area and helped us to take pictures. We hit all the sites that we had agreed to (which is route B for northern Taipei) and got back to Taipei in good time. I highly suggest to start your day at 8 to avoid the group touring groups. I would sign up again with Yolo and and request for Frank bc he is very helpful and personable.

Hicks was was amazing. He was engaging and well versed on the areas that we covered. Because of it being a private tour, the experience was that much more insightful because I was able to ask questions that in a tour group setting would not be able to be elaborated on due to the size of a group, but by having this one on one experience with the guide, it really helped for me to experience the culture in a much more personal way. Hicks was amazing.

Our guide and driver was Hicks and he is amazing. He is on time, very patient, takes awesome photos, drives well (really rad driving skills), has great energy and attitude, did his planning for all the places we wanted to visit. He facilitated our entire day to make sure it went smoothly and got us to all the places of interest before the sun set. A whole day of driving and hiking did not faze him and I think we were more tired than he was, somehow. Definitely will recommend him to my friends and family when they visit Taipei.
