    1. Taipei Night Tour & Din Tai Fung Steamed Dumplings

Explore the city of Taipei at night and take in some of its most exciting sights on this 4-hour night tour. Begin by visiting the ornate and beautiful Lungshan Temple, built in the 18th century by Chinese settlers as a place of worship. After taking a moment to admire this historic temple, carry on to the Hwahsi Night Market. Look around for a great bargain or simply stroll past countless stands selling food, souvenirs, and even live snakes. Then savor a traditional meal of delicious small dumplings at the world-famous Ding Tai Fong Restaurant. Finally, stop by Taipei City Hall to get a perfect camera angle of Taipei 101, also known as the Taipei World Financial Centre. Gaze at this massive skyscraper, the world’s second tallest building towering 101 stories above the street. Its unique architecture and impressive height has made it a symbol of Taipei.

What made the tour worth it are the Din Tai Fung dinner at Taipei 101 and the tour of Lungshan Temple. We also walked through a night market but did not spend a lot of time in it.

We had a 10 hr tour with Alan. His English was excellent, because he went to college in California. He picked us up at our hotel and we went to the National Museum in time for the opening at 8:30AM. Even though it was Sunday, there were very few tourist for the first half hour. We saw the Jade Cabbage with only two other people! We were disappointed that the Jade Pork has been transferred to the Southern Museum. Next, we went to 101 building and went to the top and had soup dumpling lunch at Dai Tai Fung. Alan was able to get us seats in only 20 minutes, while the line was 2 hrs. Next we went to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial. Alan put us in the best position to see the changing of the guards. We went to see the Grand Palace and then he dropped us off at the airport.

Jimmy was a great tour guide. He quickly adapted the agenda to fit my interests and shared lots of interesting information with me about taiwan including it’s people, history, culture and more.

Alan was so friendly and eager to share his knowledge of Taipei. We ended up booking a second day to go to Jiufen and Shifen. We would highly recommend him.

Alan was excellent in every way. Personable, changed our itenerary on the fly at our request. He made it an exceptional day!

Good tour for a first day in Taipei to get the big picture. Perfect start into this city with our awesome guide Frank.
