Depart from the pier in Tadoussac or Baie-Sainte-Catherine and head out on an observation boat on a tour of the marine ecosystem in Quebec's Saguenay-St-Lawrence Marine Park. On this 3-hour trip, you will have the opportunity to do whale watching, as well as observe geological formations such as the Saguenay Fjord.
As you sail along the waters of this marine reserve aboard the Grand Fleuve, keep your eyes peeled for whales. The area is best known for its colony of belugas, but you can also sometimes spot blue whales, minke whales, and fin whales.
Then continue your adventure with a short visit into the magnificent Saguenay Fjord! This inlet is 65 miles (105 kilometers) long and is sometimes as wide as 2.5 miles (4 kilometers). The fjord is also in Saguenay Fjord National Park, a park which overlaps with Saguenay-St-Lawrence Marine Park.
