Friendly, efficient and very honest: it was extremely windy that day and they said we would get soaked with near-freezing water, and we did. Captain did great job trying to avoid the biggest waves, guide was very pleasant translated everything into English, even though only two English speakers on board. Cruise included a trip part way up fjord, since conditions made it hard to see many whales out in the St Lawrence. We saw a harbour seal and some belugas. I think we were too close to the belugas though, hope we did not disturb them: it is the breeding season and they are in decline.
The experience was exhilarating, travelled in sept 2020, along with my husband. We got to see four different species of whales. Humpback, fin (in a distance), Winkie and belugas along with their babies. The tour guide was very good And informative she answered all questions with detailed explanations. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of the tour and definitely recommend it.
I booked an English tour - and was very disappointed that there was still a French part. Also the tour guide would speak for 5 min in French and only 30 seconds in English. While English might be a much simpler language - the time spent was no properly distributed.
What an amazing experience! Had the best seat on the zodiac boat, super courteous staff and the most exhilarating whale observations. We saw the whales not just one but multiple times. A bucket list item for all.
We really enjoyed the whale watching. The staff made sure to place everyone in the boat together with their families. The guide was very knowledgeable! Will likely do it again next year!!
