Full description
After your transfer from Sydney, meet your guide in Leura or Katoomba. Taking in the fresh mountain air, join a short walk to a spectacular lookout away from the large crowds. Learn about the heritage-listed Blue Mountains, listen to stories passed on from indigenous elders, and hear of more recent events that have shaped the landscape. After a short coffee stop to salute the Three Sisters, continue to the Megalong Valley. Surrounded by towering sandstone escarpments, Dryridge Estate is an elegant vineyard nestled in the serene Megalong Valley. This relaxing bushland location will be your setting for lunch and a wine tasting. Try six current vintages and enjoy a platter of local, fresh produce. After lunch, head over to the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden for a quick stop to take in the amazing views. Next, travel to the Bilpin region, where you will taste some ciders made with apples and pears grown and produced in the Blue Mountains. Learn about the fermentation process and taste ciders that have no added sugar or artificial flavors. Next up is an independent local distillery with a guided tasting of gin and other spirits that have won international awards. Make a short stop at the Hawkesbury lookout, before the final stop of the tour, where you will taste craft beers at one of the trendiest drinking holes in the mountains.
