1. Sukhothai: Historical Park & Countryside Cycling Tour

Witness many aspects of rural life in Thailand and explore the famous ruins of Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on this full-day guided bike tour. Benefit from included pickup and drop-off within 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) of Sukhothai, and savor an included lunch at a local restaurant. From there, pedal through a quiet village to enjoy the scenery of the beautiful area, then take a dirt road passing through endless rice paddies with beautiful views of the Kao Laung Mountain. As you go, interact with local people, where possible. You may even have the chance to participate in planting next season's crops. Make a stop at the wood furniture factory to see how the local carpenter produces great works before continuing your journey along small irrigation canals (Klong Mae Lampan) that pass through rural villages. Arriving at Sukhothai's Eastern Gate, marvel at the beautiful Buddhist and Hindu architecture, and be exposed to some of the country's most stunning craftsmanship from a period known as Thailand's Golden Era. With your guide, learn about Sukhothai's history and complex architecture, as well as the story of Buddhism in Thailand. What people are saying about Sukhothai

I learned more on this tour than on all the other tours I’ve done in Thailand so far. Miauw is a lot of fun, relaxed and very knowledgeable. She has been a guide even in chiang Mai for a long time and that is noticeable especially also in her English skills. We learned about history, the local life, the royal family, religions especially Buddhism and more. The girl who did the girl with me had been to Ayatuyia beforehand and said Sukothai is more impressive (and older obviously) and that this cycling tour was the best she has done so far here. So yeah, just book it if you’re in town! You won’t regret it.

Great experience with Meow ! I loved bicycling around the countryside with her. She tells you a lot about Thai culture in general but more especially in Sukhothai, is eager to share anecdocts and answer your questions. You will visit a wood factory, a distillery, a artisan who makes objects and traps for animals (and how do people get their food to eat or sell). You will also see beautiful rice plantations with the moutains in background. It was a true immersion into another Thailand, i can only recommend it !

Simply amazing activity! The host is a very warm and really interesting person. The course off the beaten track will allow you to discover the life of the locals as well as to interact and exchange with them. The explanations of our host throughout the day allowed us to understand and learn a good part of the history of this region and this country, information that was very useful to us for the rest of our trip! Don't hesitate for a second and book this activity!

We had a great time with Miau and the rest of the group doing the cycling tour around Sukhotai. We got to see the new town and the old one. Miau explained plenty of things related to Thai culture and also information about the old city and its beautiful ruins. One of the best tours we do so far!

We did the tour with Meow. A 10! perfect! We loved it. We recommend everyone to go to Sukhothai. It is a wonder.
