Planning Your Visit

  • How do the free tours work?

Free walking tours are a great way to see Stockholm on a stringent budget, and you'll likely be surprised by how good they are! That said, don't forget that this is how your guide makes a living, so don't forget to bring some cash for a tip at the end.

  • How hard is it?

The archipelago makes Stockholm very flat and easy to traverse – not to mention scenic! Walking tours don't have to be grueling, with most taking about an hour and a half. Seeing beyond the key landmarks can add quite a bit of time, however, with longer tours averaging at about three hours.

This is an excellent tour, especially for the price. My wife and I usually book private tours, but this was listed as as “small group tour” so I decided to try it. The price included the ferry ride, and museum admission, which made the price super reasonable, even though the group size was larger than advertised. The guide was very knowledgeable. My only suggestion would be to include a short break for a small rest and something to drink.

Monika our guide was super friendly, was able to customise the tour to our liking and made us feel very comfortable through the tour. From given a historic perspective of the city to providing practical tips, she was very knowledgeable. Didn’t think Stockholm to be such a beautiful city but the tour provided is great views of the city

We had a German speaking tour with Helmut. In his relaxed manner, the guide showed us many beautiful corners of the old town. We also learned some historical background without it getting too much for us.

Very nice & delicious cross-section of Swedish cuisine, guide Valentina entertained us very well, explained things very well & gave great tips!

The guide was very knowledgeable and nice. We had a very interesting tour, and learned a lot.
