This virtually-unchanged 16th century village overlooks the sea and poses as the fictional town of Cranesmuir. You will journey past Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument to Doune Castle, or as it’s called in Outlander, Castle Leoch. This formidable building gives you an insight into the living conditions of a Scottish earl in the 14th century. You can also listen to an excellent audio guide about how this castle was used as a filming location for Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Your next stop is Linlithgow Palace. • From Edinburgh: Outlander, Palaces and Jacobites Tour

Depart Edinburgh and journey northwest to Midhope Castle (April 1 to September 24), site of Lallybroch Castle in the time travel TV series "Outlander." Next, stop in the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow and enjoy a photo stop at Linlithgow Palace (Wentworth Prison in "Outlander"), originally a royal retreat between Edinburgh and Stirling Castle. Continue to the 14th-century country pile of Callandar House, where ties to Rome's northern frontier in Europe at the Antonine Wall have been traced. Following in the footsteps of Claire and Jamie, visit Falkland, Outlander's Inverness. Many of the streets here were used as filming locations in Outlander, including when Claire sees Jamie's ghost. What people are saying about Stirling

It was a long distance that we covered, almost across the length and breath of Scotland. But it was so very interesting with our guide Kelly's narrative of Scottish history and the lovely lovely sights that we wanted the day to never end. The Glen Coe highlands were out of this world, clear lakes, larger than life mountains with autumn colors, and snow on the tops. There were photo stops at the right points, and Kelly guided us with where to eat. She even drove us around Inverness, which was a bonus. Thank you Getyourguide, for yet another lovely day.

Oh I had a lot of fun. The route taken was picturesque and our guide Gary was a great story teller. Especially with the Kelpies, he created quite an atmosphere.. Taking the cruise was a good decision, because otherwise one misses out the scenery along the shores of the lake. Another lovely spot was the area around Loch Achray.. Ultimate holiday getaway...Overall, I will definitely recommend this tour to my friends. Thank you once again, getyourguide.

Kelly was our guide for the day, she immediately welcomed us with open arms and made us feel very comfortable throughout the tour!! Her storytelling made everything so much more enjoyable and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather to enjoy the Highlands :) I would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family!!

Too packed given COVID. Aside from this, great guide and great value for money. Perfect length of trip (time doing activities vs time in transport).

Incrível. Lugar, guia, transporte. Nada a acrescentar.
