St. Petersburg: City Center Walking Tour with Lunch
- Duration: 7 hours
(disclaimer: the itinerary differs from the description in GYG, but it is worth it anyway!) During the tour, we visited a doughnut shop (that has been around since 1959) and a railway station which has magnificent interior design, both of which we would have missed had we explored the city on our own. We also visited a few of the significant metro stations. Our guide, Anna, also treated us to traditional Russian snack and (a small amount of) liqueur. Adding on to that, Anna was also friendly and knowledgeable. She shared many interesting stories about the buildings we passed, and provided tips and recommendations for our trip (for the next few days). This is definitely a great way to appreciate St. Petersburg and its rich culture!
A must do tour to really have a chance to explore the roots of the city. Evelyn was our tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for a better one! She was knowledgeable and fun. We had a smaller tour and she was very flexible with the itinerary. One of my favorite parts was exploring the unique subway system and artwork. We ended our tour at a fun local bar/coffee shop. The tour was one of the main highlights of the trip!
Our tour was fantastic! We got to see parts of St. Petersburg that we definitely would not have otherwise known about. Evelina was such a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city, and she even shared a unique bar with us at the end of the tour. She answered all of our questions and engaged with us in interesting discussions. Thank you very much!
Our guide was excellent and knew a great deal about the stations. A good precursor to the Moscow stations. I am glad I did not miss them. I could never have found my own way around, even though all the signs are also in English.
The tour description is outdated and the itinerary has changed which was unfortunate, as I had already done most things on the revised itinerary. I was told that GetYourGuide cannot change the description until 2020.
