Full description
Join the only walking tour that is a Charter Partner of St Patrick's Cathedral for exclusive Fastpass access to the largest gothic-style Catholic Cathedral in the US. Discover the iconic 5th Avenue with your guide and learn about landmarks like Rockefeller Center and Radio Music Hall before visiting the Cathedral on a self-guided audio tour.
Your experience begins with a 1-hour walking tour with an English-speaking guide of Fifth Avenue. Admire the Atlas Statue and stroll past Saks Fifth Avenue. See the famous Rockefeller Center, Channel Gardens, and Radio City Hall. Benefit from the interesting insights of your local guide as you learn about the history, the architecture and the movies filmed in this area.
The walking tour will end at St. Patrick's Cathedral - the largest decorated gothic-style Catholic Cathedral in the United States, taking up an entire city block. Your guide will escort you through the fast-track line to receive your included multilingual audio guide. All visitors must go through a mandatory airport-style security line.
Once you are inside the Cathedral, the experience is self-guided. You can listen to the ca 1- hour long audio tour in one of five languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian) and explore the Cathedral at your own pace. It is recommended to allow up to 1.5-hours as you may wish to pause the audio tour at times to enjoy features like the Lady Chapel, the towering twin spires, the 9280 lbs main doors which can be opened by a single person, the main altar with its solid bronze baldachin, the stained glass windows (including the Rose window) and the Pieta replica which is three times the size of Michelangelo's.
There is also a child's version of the tour available in English only.
