Loved it. St Andrews is well with the trip and stops at Anstruther and Falkland were also great. We ended up having almost an hour at Falkland Palace that was quite beautiful. Our guide was very nice and very knowledgable entertaining, but maybe just a tad too self indulgent with personal humor. A little more history and local information along the way would have been preferred. Just a little. It's a long trip so I get filling it with a little humor, but... Bus was very comfortable. Appreciated having a USB port at the seat as I started the day with less than adequate charge, but brought my charger just in case.
Excellent mix of stops on a one day tour. The fishing village gave a taste of small village life. St Andrews was superb. A charming town. The last stop offered a view of country life for the nobles in years gone by. Our tour guide Rolland, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and provided entertaining dialogue during the the trip. He put the tour over the top. Well don.
It was fun, the guide was nice. I liked our stop at the fishing village (Anstruther?), and St. Andrews, and then Falklands Village. It was very picturesque and gave you a good feel of the local villages. Our weather was nice, so that helped, and it was interesting that there was a major golf tournament going on at St. Andrews Golf Course.
Tour guide, David, was very knowledgeable about the area. Nice stopover in fishing village. Adequate time to visit St. Andrews. Not rushed. Plenty of time to see highlights and have leisurely lunch. Last stop at castle for 5 minutes was not worthwhile. Would have liked 30 - 45 minutes there.
We liked the tour as it was but expected more stops in fishing villages. The stop in St Andrews was a bit to long for those of us who are not interested into golf. Falkland was beautiful. I would recomend this tour to people age 50 and above.
