  • From Eilat: Timna Park Highlights Tour

    8. From Eilat: Timna Park Highlights Tour

Visit one of the most impressive geological formations in the area, a red sandstone mushroom with a shape that has been created by rapid erosion on the bottom half of the rock. Here, you will also see the remains of the Egyptian temple dedicated to Goddess Hathor, as well as ancient rock carvings that depict King Ramses III. There you can soak in the landscape, fill bottles of colored sandstone, or enjoy some thirst-quenching refreshments at the concession stand.

Amazing tour in a small group led by professional drivers. Even though the tour doesn’t imply you’ll have a guided tour, the guys were very friendly and were willing to answer any questions we had while walking around and elaborate on them further. The other advantage is that they can adjust the route and change the order of sightseeing in order to escape crowds from touristy buses. Thanks a lot for the wonderful experience!
