Stonehenge Admission Ticket

1. Stonehenge Admission Ticket

Stonehenge is perhaps the most famous prehistoric monument in the world. It was built in several stages, beginning as a simple earthwork enclosure. The unique linteled stone circle was erected in the late Neolithic period, around 2500 B.C. Your timed admission ticket gives you access to a site that has continued to attract interest for centuries. Today Stonehenge, Avebury, and other associated locations comprise a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring a unique and dense concentration of prehistoric monuments. Stonehenge has been the subject of speculation and fascination since at least the early medieval period. How did Neolithic people construct this masterpiece of engineering using only the simple tools and technologies available to them? Hundreds of prehistoric objects from the Stonehenge World Heritage Site are on display in the visitor center. One of the new features at Stonehenge is an outdoor gallery that includes several reconstructed Neolithic houses. Using archaeological evidence and authentic materials, these buildings provide a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Neolithic people who built Stonehenge. Stonehenge has many different meanings to people today. It is an icon of Britain, a wonder of the world, a spiritual place, and a source of inspiration.

Start the tour at Bath Ale House and get kitted out with high-tech headphones. In the 1980s, a young ghost hunter came to Bath to document all its restless residents. Sadly, their work was never completed due to their mysterious death. The only certainty that they existed at all is in the two items they left behind: a folder full of their unfinished research notes, and their Walkman, still loaded with the mixtape they were listening to at the time. Follow in their footsteps through the streets of Bath and dance — possibly for your life — to finish the job they started all those years ago. If you are organizing a special event such as a birthday or bachelor/bachelorette party, upgrade to the Private Tour option for an exclusive group experience for between 10-28 participants.

Awesome! Honestly, your experience will be highly depending on the weather. Thankfully, It was a good weather for me, really worth 20£ entry fee. And you can see anything without entry, except from the road which was far away. Keep in mind that you cannot touch nor stand close up to the stones anymore. However, with a good weather, the site was enjoyable and worth to visit once in a life time.

Brilliant tour .. having never done an Audio tour before I was really surprised how good it was. Gave us a fabulous insight to Bristol

Friendly staff, good commentary in German. An easy way to see the highlights of Bath without walking.
